Best Sizing For This Manifold

Hi guys! I’m in the middle of doing a whole new manifold system in my house that I’m completely remodeling and I’m a little confused on the best way to go about it.

Here’s the details. It’s a 2 bathroom house and the one shower will have two different diverters. (I know it’s over kill but I wanted the rain shower to be able to be control separately and I’m probably gonna drill the shower head out to increase flow)

My main coming in from the street is 3/4 and then the meter is 1/2. My manifold will be 8 outlets cold and 8 outlets hot. All pipe will be Pex A.

My original plan was 3/4 from the meter to the manifold and then do 3/4 lines to all fixtures and reduce to 1/2 at the fixtures. After looking and realizing nobody makes a manifold from 3/4 to 3/4 I realized.

So what is my best course of action?

1. Run a 3/4 line from the meter to a typical 3/4 manifold with 1/2 outlets?

2. Make my own manifold out of 3/4 Tees? Or would I actually use 1 inch to 3/4 tees to size the trunk up?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I’m super concerned that I’m gonna go through the hassle of this entire manifold system and end up with messed up flow or pressure due to me sizing something incorrect. Thanks!!

1. My vote is 3/4" from meter to house.

2. Once inside the house, install a stainless ball valve for total water control from the street. All in PEX A.

3. 3/4" PEX A Y off each half of the house. If you have future leaks, still have water to another toilet/sink on the other side of the house. Need 2 stainless 3/4" ball vales here right above the whole house shutoff valve. All this is in PEX A.

4. Two 3/4" PEX A trunk lines to each side of the house.

5. Branches are 3/4" to showers, 1/2" to toilets and sinks. 3/4" to a laundry room.

My recipe is Sioux Chief PEX A. Not one bad word or law suit again them I found so far. Stainless Boshart fittings. Top of the line here. Sweeping 90's are the cat's meow.
