American Standard Shower Handle Won't Come Off

Hello,

I'm currently trying to replace my American Standard Shower Handle. I have already fully unscrewed the hex screw and taken it out; however, the handle still won't come off. The handle still turns and opens/closes normally.

Pull on it while tapping with something metal. I haven't removed this exact one, but if it's the same as other similar looking ones it just pulls off. Since you can't just pull it off it likley need some shock to coax it loose.
