My well water has 4.4ppm Total Iron (4.3ppm is ferrous). My well puts out 17 gpm.
A vendor told me I should get a 2 cu ft tank. I already have a 1.5 cu ft tank sitting around. How big of a deal is using 2 cu ft of media for my situation? What would I be losing by using the 1.5 cu ft tank? Would I need to regenerate sooner than the recommended 3 days?
btw, currently I'm using my softener to remove the iron, then GAC, then RO. I want to give my softener a break. It works too hard AKA I'd like to reduce the salt consumption.
