Hello! I'm looking for a way to reroute the drain line from our kitchen sink/dishwasher to create headroom for a basement remodel job. Currently, the drain line is run diagonally about 27' to the soil stack (which comes into the basement at around 5' above the floor). This unfortunately places it in the middle of two spaces I'd like to roughly finish out.

My idea is to instead plumb the sink/dishwasher into a drain pump - something like a Saniflow Salivate or a Liberty 404/405 - and then reroute the horizontal run up into the floor joist space. Horizontal run would be about 35'-40' in a L-shape to the stack. My primary question is about the pump placement itself.

First thought was to place it in the basement directly under the sink (on an exterior wall) and run the discharge pipe up a few feet before starting the horizontal run. The issue here is that it this wall would eventually have foam board insulation and get fur out for drywall. The pump would require a larger bump out to hide it behind the wall, plus an access panel for service. Doable but not ideal in this particular location.

Alternatively I was thinking I could place it under the sink (in the cabinet) and then route it down where the existing drain is, and then start my horizontal run. Looking at the Saniflow documentation, it would seem they support installing the discharge below the level of the pump - but that it may require an additional vent:

"6. When the point of discharge into the soil stack is lower than the base of the unit, a vacuum relief valve may need to be fitted at the highest point of in the pipe run in order to avoid siphonage." https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...ITE_USA_CANADA_2017_HD_FINAL.PDF?v=1686871935

I'm just curious if anyone has experience with this type of install, particularly when the discharge is lower than the pump. It seems fairly straightforward but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something. Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
