I’ve come into contact with one of these pitless’ before, however never needed to buy new o-rings as the old ones held up just fine. However when I pulled this one the o-rings were rotted and unusable. Has anyone ever worked with these Advance pitless’ and would anyone know what size o-rings to order for one that has 2” drop pipe attached so I don’t have to order a bunch of them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OD of 2" pipe is 2.375". But not familiar with that brand. Sorry. You maybe able to get a oring kit with several sizes for a fairly low price. I have them for smaller orings. Just have to find a kit in the size range.

Do you think that was originally a round o-ring?

There are o-ring dimensions available on the website. There are ways to measure the groove once you get the old o-ring out.

It was a round o-ring. It’s beginning to seem like I’ll have to measure it and try to order various orings to try and match. Nobody I’ve talked to has ever tried to find specific parts for these. Most people just cut the pitless off the casing and fits a normal pitless in its place.

For measuring, a digital caliper would be my tool of choice.
https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-...eter/calipers/4-in-digital-caliper-63710.html for example. I like their stainless steel calipers, but not their cheaper composite ones, which have less resolution. Batteries are SR-44 LR-44 or 357 etc batteries. These do discharge batteries when not being used.

https://www.harborfreight.com/6-in-dial-caliper-63730.html would have the advantage of not needing batteries.

Maybe take the measurements, or old o-ring, to the back counter of a big hardware store.

There are assortments/kits, as Valveman suggested.

Depending on how often you deal with this stuff, Harbor Freight has oring kits at very decent prices. I have several. That looks kinda large though -- not sure the kits go that big. But you can drag the old oring there and guess. Having kits (I have both a standard and nitrile set) allows you to play around till you find the oring that seems best. Also -- silicone grease is your friend here. An oring that is not quite perfect and then has to slide over a corroded nipple will try and twist turn. And then it will leak. Some ample grease to the fitting and things will slide together.

I am assuming that getting down to the bottom end of the adaptor is challenging...... Cleaning that up would make sense as well.
