Hi,

I’m adding a shower in the first floor bathroom (only toilet and sink previously). The location where the shower is going has the 1/2” hot and cold copper feed lines to the upstairs shower/tub. Considering flow and pressure should I T of these lines for the new mixing valve? Or run separate pipes to the new valve? Is there any reason to increase the size of the pipes in any of these scenarios? What would the ideal way to keep pressure/flow when both showers are used at the same time?

Cheers Dean
