Hey they're getting on here to see if anyone has some insight or let me know if this what I'm hearing is normal. I'll see if I can describe it... (I have central AC)
so my outside Unit I believe runs lines to my downstairs furnace. (Unfortunately I don't know what all those lines are called but they're wrapped in foam insulation). Anyhow, we've been doing work on our plumbing where we drained the hot water heater, turned on and off water etc. while I was in the furnace room yesterday and my main AC unit was running I could hear just a lot of what sounded like liquid coming through those lines (circled in yellow). I don't believe I've ever heard this before. It didn't seem to be the white PVC drain lines.(circled in red) It seem to be the lines up above that are covered in foam.
I did get the sound to stop if I turn the furnace switch off and it took about 5 minutes for it to stop. Anybody have some insight on what this could be or explain to me better the unit works and if I should be concerned or not, my local AC company charges too much to come out for a dumb question.
The lines dont appear to be frozen up or anything, I tried to replicate it this morning but not doing it. I will try later this afternoon when things heat up and a has been running a lot.
