1950's frost-free exterior faucet-non anti siphon

Hello all,
I'm in the Pacific North West working on my mom's house. She is in end of life home hospice care and I'm her care giver. House was built in 1956 and this exterior faucet leaks while turned on. This might be an original piece but not sure. Plumber came out but couldn't get to that side of the house through the crawl space( retro ducting work) He did un thread the valve from outside and it's a frost free setup. Replaced the seat washer but it leaks while turned on from the handle area. Is there a stem seal that can be replaced? Are parts available for this? Thank you!

If it was mine, I would replace the entire fixture. Water faucets/pipes are perishable. Easier than trying to find parts for that one. Real plumbers (not me) might know exactly how to seal it up. Good luck with it.

I think I'd have to remove most of the ducting to get to the two furthest faucets. I don't want to be under the house, but this might be one of those "if you want it done correctly do it your self" projects. I've worked underground for months at a time in my past.

Make it serviceable for future repairs. Maybe rerun the water line another way to get to this spot??? More than one way to skin a cat.

Oh another mod might be raising the hose bibb UP a couple feet. I hate it when the bibb/faucet is on the stinking ground like yours. My Dad's house is the same.........

I don't see any markings in the photos of the casting. Do you?
I think I would pull the stem, and look to where I could wrap some PTFE packing cord. It would have been nice to have had a photo of the stem when it was out.

There is only one hex, right -- not a second hex hidden by the knob in the photos?

Correct only one hex. Picture is too large to upload. So I have the stem out. There's the knob, the brass nut with a fiber type seal bonded to the bottom of it, a brass washer and the stem. Brass surface area on top of nut that might had a seal/washer once?

If using Windows, use MD Paint to crop the photo to 900 pixels max dimension. Save as *.JPG file. Upload that.

Concentrate on the area of the stem including the nut to what is a couple inches into the wall.

I am thinking I would wrap white PTFE packing cord around the shaft, and then tighten the nut.

Some prefer the black graphite packing cord. They both work.

You might be able to take your parts to a plumbings supply store or a good hardware store, and they might have something better for you. What is that in the plastic bag?

Plastic bag/washer part went over the shaft before the knob.

It had a machined seat so I'm not sure, I did remove black washer type material from the seat. There's one more faucet with the same issue so I'll check that one out.

How did you come to get that bagged item? If you got it recently, that would seem to imply that you have identified the valve.

If your mom had it stored away, and knew to give it to you for the faucet, that would be remarkable.

I went to the local Jerry's hardware store and found one that fit. But looking at the other faucet, it looks the same, brass seat type area but nothing in it? So it needs something on the back side, would it normally be a washer? or a cone type seal? I have no idea on the valve maker. I'll try some packing rope on the second one and see. If this was on my Texas house it would never come a part without being damaged, very hard water.
