I am planning to instal a linear shower drain. I want the body to sit below the tile. Is that a problem?

I need to replace the tub spout pictured below because it leaks at the back end when water is turned on. However, the screw. Is rusted and NOTHING we’ve tried (screw driver, vice grips, ratchet) will make this budge. Have even sprayed all around with a lubricant. Please help.
