looking for feedback on expanding a hydronic radiator system

They're not baseboard, they're heavy original cast iron radiators. A real radiator would use substantially more space than the kick one. The kick one I can slip into existing unused space. Did you find the heating acceptable (after noting the complaint about dust)? I only sweat copper when i...

looking for feedback on expanding a hydronic radiator system

It is a two pipe system. Tee, coupling, my mistake. My thought was to have two radiators share that water, reducing the heating on one side by forcing it to be shared between two room, which I think is what you are describing.

looking for feedback on expanding a hydronic radiator system

Hello, I am attempting to alter an existing hydronic boiler system to accommodate a room that was enclosed after the building was built. I have been weighing a few different options, and i would like to avoid electric heat. 1) the interior radiator overheats the room it is in. not terribly...

Not sure how to fix, the tub is a 1.5 in brass assembly into a 2 in trap. the drain is about 14 inches from the vent. I snaked the drain, and even opened the vent above the...

So i am fixing up a lovely old house. tons of secrets behind every wall, lots of fun. The basement has serious water problems, which i have been addressing through grading, downspout engineering, and will at some point do some serious external drainage. This has been mostly successful, but...

Ways to support cast iron risers?

Ah thank you. I hadnt thought about a heavier gauge strap. the one ive been using to rough set i think is 28 gauge hd, and not sufficiently strong beyond what im doing with it. Is 26 gauge code approved/required, or just handy? ill take either.

Ways to support cast iron risers?

Hello, am replacing some cracked cast iron with hubless cast iron and am having a hard time supporting the risers, the only thing i find are riser clamps, but as i have fittings at both those transitions i have to raise the clamp to carry the main weight directly and notch studs for it to rest...

will soft copper supply lines last longer?

Can a 1/4 bend be used at the bottom of a plumbing stack?

I am very limited on space and trying to figure out what would work. The line will then travel about 8 feet and then turn vertical, then back horizontal to connect into a wye combination. happy to answer any questions.
