    Dual bowl to single bowl

We want to update our dual bowl sink with a single bowl sink. The counter is cut out as an oval shape with curved corners. I am not sure where to start with what type of sink that we can use. Can I cut this quartz or should I stick with this shape? Is this a job for a contractor. What do...

    Is this an air filter

I am trying to learn about my furnace. I have this RUUD furnace in a place we just moved to, I think the furnace is from 2016. We have an intake air return in the hallway we change out the filter for. The filter looks as clean as it went in when I swap it every 10 weeks. I was looking around...

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

It's stayed red, for the entire 90 min process, however, it got darker red from what was coming out. Like redish dirty water. I observed no yellow color change,

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

I pumped this solution through for 90 mins. 5 to 1 mix. So not the entire gallon. I have Vinegar to use on the next round.

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

I have used an under the sink cir pump at a diff location, and it was helpful. Good suggestion. Maybe I can look into that. The sad part is that we are experiencing the delay in the kitchen which is about 6-8 feet from the Thankless water heater. Not sure if these lines are all home-runs as...

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

I was able to do a thorough descale. I can report that there is not difference with performance. We are use to a tanked water heater and maybe this is just the down side to this Tankless trend? They under perform compared to a Tank? Here is my presumption: Both tankless and tank need to...

    faucet handle rotation range

Interesting, Looks like maybe the filtered water travels through the same spigot as the unfiltered water? I can try to reach out again to Moen to learn more how this three way prevents cross contamination, I have not heard back from them about any of my previous questions yet. With the RO...

    faucet handle rotation range

Thanks, we have yet to see this brand with a three way faucet for filtered water as seen in the example photo. But we can reach out and ask. We currently have a Moen faucet but to avoid drilling another hole in the granite counter top, we are searching for this three way faucet that will do RO...

    faucet handle rotation range

Not sure what forum to post this in I just installed a kitchen single hole faucet that has a handle which rotates back 45 degrees for hot and rotates 45 forward for cold. Straight up is in the middle of the two temps. Our window trim sticks out to much behind the new faucet and the handle...

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

OK, that is good to know I am not the only one . I am going to try to descale this thing and see how that goes. Then I might consider a tanked WH if there is not performance uptick. I can check out the 50 and compare price and size. Thanks

I will give this a go and see if the hot water situation improves.

should I remove a tankless for a tank?

We recently moved and our new place has a tankless water heater that appears to be from 2016. This is our first experience with a tankless system, and I'm trying to keep an open mind about it, but I do miss our old tank. We are a small family that never ran out of hot water with our previous...

    Clean inside a Water Heater

Rheem gas. PROG40-38U. Heavy sentiment build up on bottom. Next step is to try one or all of the solvents suggested here before replacing.

    Clean inside a Water Heater

It seems that this is a problem that I need to address. I am going to continue to try some interim fixes prior to spending over $1300 to buy and install a new one. Seems like the calci-flush, poured down the anode rod hole would be worth trying out first. But it does seem like if this does...

    Clean inside a Water Heater

See The turbo tank clean requires you to remove your flush valve nipple to function. In my earlier post I had indicated this is a limitation for me. However when I saw this a few years ago, it did make me wonder if I could stick something homemade up through the 3/4" valve.

    Clean inside a Water Heater

I have flushed my water heater, multiple times. The popping and banging inside by 5 year old Rhem WH must have major sentiment at the bottom due to hard water. I have turned down the heat as well. It is possible that sediment falls to the bottom when I changed out my Anode rod each year also...
