    Liberty Pump Switch Reliability

Thanks. Opening my eyes to new possibilities! In that case, I would need order my Hydrocheck electronic float switch and have it on hand before I install the effluent pump as a sump pump

    Liberty Pump Switch Reliability

Just heard back from Liberty. If you want to use an external Hydrocheck electronic float switch to get better range because the Liberty 237/257 is only a 3 inch range, or even if the switch fails, they don't recommend zip tying up the float in the ON position. Since that switch is never...

    TERRY LOVE CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Oh boy. I am so sorry to hear this. I'm an infrequent visitor of this forum for 15 years, but because of this beautiful man, his forum was always there to lend a helping hand to me and countless others. To Terry's loved ones, I am so sorry this has crossed my eyes this afternoon. God Bless you...

    Liberty Pump Switch Reliability

Exactly. I can only get the 237/257 in the store. THIS video shows how easy it is to remove the float on a 237/257, but it seems the switch will then be in the off position (because it drops down?) instead of always up/ON which is what you want if you were to use the electronic float sensors and...

    Liberty Pump Switch Reliability

What about the Liberty 237/257? Can you totally remove the float, and keep the magnetic switch in the ON position and use the electronic float sensors like the HydroCheck HC6000?

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

There seems to be nothing decent in local stores. The Zoeller (at Lowes and Ferguson's) still has switch problems and iffy warranties for diy-ers who buy from unauthorized retail outlets.. The Liberty 1/3HP at Ferguson's seems like a good choice but it has a 3 inch range from 7" to 4". Does...

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

Not a all. I had a Everbilt tether style for 10-15 years and it just failed which is a great lifespan especially for a cheap unit. I would get another Everbilt tether style again but they're no longer in the stores. (you can order them online but I rather just pick one up) HD only stocks (on the...

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

No, but I've had other stainless steel parts in that pit for a very long time and they were still shiny as could be. Something to look into . Thanks.

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

I wanted to buy something locally and get it done, but it says delivery by Tuesday which isn't bad. Did you ever deal with this company? Easy to return something if this is damaged from being shipped on it's head? Even so, it would still be more of a hassle when I need something quick.

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

I got it. Thanks. There's only 3 official Zoeller stores in the entire state of NJ and none are close. (Ferguson's isn't even listed) I guess the Zoellers from Lowes are an exception. That's crazy. Between possible warranty issues and switches going bad, it's not to enticing.

Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

I had an emergency and went out and bought a Ridgid 1/3 HP submersible from Home Depot because they had good reviews. My failed Everbilt 1/2HP tether style lasted est. 10-15 years. (I first looked at the Everbilt aluminum vertical style float but didn't like how cheap the float system looked- to...

1/2 HP Everbilt submersible sump stirring but level stays same

The path was clear. I replaced the sump and it's working again. Quite possibly the impeller was slipping under load. Who knows. I think it was about 10 years old. I picked up another Everbilt with the vertical float this time (instead of my previous tether style) and got it home and didn't like...

1/2 HP Everbilt submersible sump stirring but level stays same

Thank you. I'll buy another sump on my way to my Mom's and try clearing the line first. If I don't need the new sump, I can always return it. Of course it's raining all night tonight. lol Thanks again.

1/2 HP Everbilt submersible sump stirring but level stays same

Thanks. The PVC part is not blocked but I can't tell if inside the 4" sewer pipe has some buildup on the side. Good idea. I don't think my shop vac has a blower attachment or reverse. I can try a household vacuum. Does 18" of water gushing straight up out the check valve seem like the pump is...

1/2 HP Everbilt submersible sump stirring but level stays same

My Mom has a 1/2 HP Everbilt MBA050BC submersible sump and I discovered the breaker to the sump had tripped. When I put the breaker on, the pump was buzzing/humming as if it was jammed. Now we had a dry spell here and the pump was inactive for 4-5 months which is probably why it seized, and it's...

Everbilt MBA050BC Sump pump - air / hiss noise

I had an emergency at my mothers house where her basement was flooded due to the Everbilt MBA050BC sump pump tether float switch failure. There was a short inside the float cable right where it's clipped/tethered. If I bent the tether cable a certain way, the pump would work and I emptied the...

Need some basic advise on replacing water heater shutoff

I already bought the sweat on valves like a year ago. The big apollo (USA) white handle ones. Thanks. Terry. Exactly what I was thinking for the water heater valve. The current main gate valve has a small body so I can do without a coupler there. I can cut just on the left side of it and...

Need some basic advise on replacing water heater shutoff

Totally forgot about those. That's why I ask the pros. Thanks. Can you please provide some steps on how you would replace that valve? It's 3/4". Not enough room for a coupler on either side of the valve. How about putting the coupler on the section coming from the water heater?

Need some basic advise on replacing water heater shutoff

I need some basic advice on replacing my water heater shutoff. Picture attached. Actually I'm going to replace my main shutoff as well, but that's easy since I have enough flex in the pipe. But with the water heater shutoff, I have no play to pull the pipe apart 3/4" to fit the new valve...
