    Underfloor heating and rads

Basically like the image attached. Both loops would have their own pump. On the underfloor heating loop a sensor on the return side would run the pump if the temp dropped below 30C. I'm wondering if this is possible without a heat exchanger type setup. I know it would pull potentially 75C...

    Underfloor heating and rads

On the lengths I’m not sure, there are 4 pex loops off the manifold that cover around 300 sqft. total. The boiler doesn’t feed the hot water it’s just for heating. It’s set to 75C rads and 30C floors. It has a sensor outdoors

    Underfloor heating and rads

Thanks There's an example attached of how it might be piped where each end has its own pump. I plan to have temps around that, maybe even higher for the rads.

    Underfloor heating and rads

I am wondering about running a loop for ufh and a loop for rads from a single boiler. The boiler I’m dealing with is Weil-Mclain eco tec 150h. A thermostat controls the rads which heat most of the house. Both loops have their own pump but the ufh never circulates if the rads are programmed to...

    Water heater sulfur smell returns

I have a 3 month old WH supplied by a drilled well with pretty hard water. Recently I posted about a sulfur smell that I thought could be coming from the well, so I used bleach on the WH and well which fixed the problem for about 3 wks. Now I'm wondering if there's anything I can do in regards...

"Rotten egg" odor water treatment options

Alright great, yes the air precharge was far too low and it seems to be cycling for longer and less often now. Sorry for the confusion, what I mean is that I flushed my WH and upon refilling some grey water sputtered out of my tap when it was nearly full. Seemed distinct from the normal...

"Rotten egg" odor water treatment options

Thanks, I used bleach on the well and hot water tank. After 2 days it still seems to be odor-free, but I noticed some grey water came out of my hot water tank upon refilling (out of the open faucet). Could this indicate I should replace the anode in the tank or is that normal? Also, I noticed...

"Rotten egg" odor water treatment options

Hey, I'm having odor issues with my drilled well and I'm having trouble finding definitive solutions on google. Generally I'm looking for a way to reduce or remove the smell completely with a limited budget and space may also be a concern (plumbing is in a crawl space). Solutions or suggestions...

    Water tank won't hold pressure

So I just dug up about 30 feet of the water line from the well towards the T that splits to the house and pressure tank. Still haven't found any breaks and I capped off the T that heads toward the livestock valve and the pressure still drops when the pump is off. That tells me the issue is in...

    Water tank won't hold pressure

When the problems first started we had temps around -20 C overnight for about 2 weeks and it was -30 C overnight on the day my water stopped flowing altogether. So I'm thinking the pipe froze near the area I dug up because frost could get down deeper. Hopefully it only burst one place if that's...

    Water tank won't hold pressure

It seems fine when looking down the casing and hums away. But unfortunately no, there's no way to isolate each line. I suspect it burst right near the casing as I dug around there to rewire the pump (shorted out in the late fall).

    Water tank won't hold pressure

Hey I've been messing with my system trying to figure out what's going on with my water, but my water tank still won't hold any pressure. My setup is a submersible pump in a drilled well that feeds a livestock watering valve, and a T that splits into a water tank and my house. Right now there's...
