If it is bad, replace it. But it appears that you are just guessing that it is bad. Guessing is not a good idea, because you can spend a lot of money guessing at solutions and not cure the problem. Check the entire system, or have it checked, to see what the problem really is. It could range from a failing well, to a bad switch, with many other options in between.
