: :It's CLR ( stands for calcium-lime-rust remover), a brand name product. It contains a mild acidic solution, just as vinegar is a mild solution of acetic acid. I think white just costs less! Either one will help to loosen hard water mineral deposits, which is often the cause of it being stuck.
Thanks for explaining CLR. I presumed that the plunger had just come off the lift wires.
