The 2" sink drain will plug long before the 4" main will. And it is more likely to plug past the washer connection, than between the sink and washer. .: Are you referring to the kitchen sink (location noted earlier)whose effluent eventually, but not directly, joins the washer's under the house? I don't think if that sink were to clog, it would affect the washer drain unless the clog worked its way downstream past where the washer's drain enters. A more likely scenerio is that the 4" main clogs at the street, backing everything up, but we'd see it in the shower/toilet/tub before the standpipe. We don't have any other appliance or sink tied into the washer drain.
