: I am remodeling my mothers bathroom and am redoing the vent/drrain stack. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to use a 45 degree elbow for the closet elbow instead of the usual 90 degree. It would make things easier for me if I could. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yes you can. Keep in mind that unless this is the last fixture on the drain stack, (no fixtures above) and within the allowable distance from the drain stack you will need to install a vent for the toilet drain.
