What's a good way to maintain an ejector pump and how long do they usually last. I recently replaced a Zoeller pump with a new one because it was the original pump that came with the house (1986). The company I hired installed a new Zoeller (same model). I had a clog in the pipe since which I had to have cleaned out. This whole process cost me $850 for the pump & installation and $300 for a clogged pipe. I have since switched to 1 ply toilet paper and have had no problems since. Are there many problems associated with ejector pump systems in homes?
