In response to Re: What size pipe to use?
: I'm remodeling an old house with PEX using the homerun system and manifold. A lot of articles say that you can reduce pipe size by an 1/8 inch when using this method. Therefore I have chosen to run 3/8 tube to all fixtures in my master bath/laundry area. Anyone have any experiences that would suggest bumping some of the fixtures up to 1/2 inch? Fixtures include: washer, toilet, 2 sinks, shower/no tub

Reply:
I would not use 3/8" tubing to feed a fixture. 3/8" size tubing is only used from the fixture shut off valve to the faucet, toilet fill valve, etc.
