: I have JUST completed demolition down to studs and installation of a new soaking tub in a tiled shower area.

: While cleaning this area yesterday to prepare for my first shower and bath I noticed that water does not MOVE from the sides of the soaking tub = DUH! Short of removing the tile to do a flange or something else to keep the water from seeping and doing damage - is there anything else I can do???

There should have been a tile bead installed to keep the water out of the wall. All you can do at this point is to apply silicone sealant to create a water tight gap and wipe up any excess water each time you shower.
