|In response to Re: galvanized pipe smells|
: Just replaced some galvanized water pipe and a hot water heater. When the hotwater is turned on a smell kind of like the oil from the pipe comes out with the water. Will this last, how can i get it out?
Seems someone may have used too much cutting oil inside the piping and didn't bother to flush it properly.
You can try raising the water temperature to MAX then flushing.
If it still persists you may have to use chemicals like we do prior to placing a building into service on new construction IN this case call a local LMP
