|In response to Re: Toto Drake|
You put your finger on 2 of the problems we've experienced with Toto WC's.
1)The rubber tank to bowl gasket doesn't always obtain a positive seal. I told my Toto rep. they should look for another OEM for that part.
2)The flapper you have may be one that has been targeted for recall.
3)You're lucky the seat didn't fall apart. The had a recall on seats a couple of years ago.
Its too bad you had such a terrible experience because Toto's flush better than the competition.
: Hi all, recently purchased & installed a Toto Drake, WHAT A MISTAKE!!. I have had nothing but problems with this piece of junk!! The tank leaks, (yes it is intalled properly!) The flapper is leaking around the seal in the tank too! I got rid of it & replaced it with an American Standard Champion. Much better choice!! I guess there's a reason American Standard is seen everywhere, because they make quality products!
