I will be remodeling a bath shortly and want to put in a new shower valve before the marble wall is done. I was told to get a Moen valve (and not the Kohler with the beautiful finish I want)because they are the only ones that are reliable for more than a few years.Is the plumbing supply store just saying that to get a sale, is it because the Moens are easier to install..or is it true? I certainly don't want to have to rip open a marble wall in a few years for a problem with a valve from an "iffy" company.
