: I have a single-lever kitchen unit. The nut that screws on it keeps coming loose and water spurts out when it gets loose enough. When I pull on the lever to open and close I get a tugging sensation. It's not a smooth operation. Reply: There is a loose, worn out or stripped part. Depending on the age and condition of the faucet, replacement may be more efficient than a repair. Try to locate a faucet breakdown online, (or parts explosion) to determine if you can possibly tighten it up or replace an inexpensive part to correct the problem. e-plumber
