The drain you are showing IN MY OPINION I would use IF I knew for a fact no one could ever find out who the installer was.

If I wanted to punish someone YES I would use this type of drain a heart beat Or if I was doing bottom of the line projects like cheap tract housing with no concern for quality this is the one I would have chosen.

Now for my accounts I use Josam, Wade, JR Smith, or Zurn Cast Iron with chrome plated bronze / brass strainers BUT Of course I charge accordingly
