Depending on where the heater is, if it was mine it would be replaced. I have always been lucky to be around within minutes after my heaters have started to leak. Since then I never push the life of one. In fact I even switched to a non-metalic electric heater. A leak can be a horror story!
: Just a little input to the life of a water heater. We have been living in this house for 36 years and are still using the gas water heater that was here when we bought the house. Don't know how long it was here before we moved in. Hope this doesn't jinx it!
