: : We are remodeling our lower level (of a raised ranch) bathroom and have only a 10" rough in for the toilet. We are considering replacing our old 3.? gallon flushing Mansfield with either a Caroma Tasman 2-piece, or a Toto Vespin 2-piece. Our local plumbing store advised snaking out the lines and keeping our old toilet because of the greater amount of water used in a flush. Any advice on this or on either of these two toilets? We have lots of toilet plugging problems now. : J Stangel, We too have 10" rough in. We had to change immediately due to a crack in the old unit. We chose an American Standard Cadet round front bowl 3454-016-020 with Amer Std Compact tank 4010-012-020. This combination is 10". So far no clogs in 3 months. This was the only 10" rough in at Home D---- and was about $110. Anything else, we would have to order with possible weeks of delay. |
