: I came home and both sides of my kitchen sink are full of water, (and other crud to say the lease) I turned on my disposal and it went down on that side and up on the other side. Then when I turned off the disposal the other side came back down and filled up the disposal side again, what the heck is happening and does anyone know how to fix it? : thanks! What you have is a classic sink stoppage and the garbage disposal is a pump ONCE you shut it off nature takes over and water seeks its own level REMEDY call a plumber to snake out your drain lines
