: I've removed a fiberglass tub/shower unit and am installing a shower w/ fiberglass pan. The floor is concrete and a box was installed before the pour to facilitate the tub P-Trap. I need to move the drain to the center of the enclosure(about 20").

: Here is my question: Does the shower P-Trap need to be directly under the shower drain or can I install it in the area designated for the bath P-Trap? Thanks for your consideration.

Tubs only require an 1-1/2" p-trap and drain. Showers require a 2" p-trap and drain. You will need to make sure that you have 2".
