: Hi, we live in a very small 600 sf 1 bed/1 bath house and am in the process of renovating a converted garage for more living space. We need to bring water to the garage, and I am planning on supplying water via 1/2" PEX taken from a 1/2" copper line from the main house. Currently the main house is piped entirely with 1/2" pipe with no problems with pressure loss. Will the small, occaisionally used garage bathroom be a victim of low water pressure if the PEX and it's narrow fittings are used? Thanks in advance, Adam
I would run 3/4 Pex, since the ID is about the same as 1/2" copper. I never run more than 2 fixtures off 1/2" Pex.
