The shower head may be getting plugged up and the noise is the water flowing through it at a high velocity. The velocity is lowest at the point when the pump starts which is why it stops then. : While taking a shower we have a whistle which comes and goes. Our home has a electric hot water heater and our water is supplied by a well. Sometimes the whistle is very persistant and only stops temporally when the well pump kicks on. What is causing the whistle? Help..........
