: I'm going to tear out my old vanity sink and install a pedistal sink, what kinds of problems will I be encountering. Will the shut off valves show? Or is there a way to hide them? Thanks, Linda
On pedestal lavs, the drain and water lines are visible. Most, if not all the time, the finished metal pieces are replaced; the shut off valves, supply lines, trap and tailpiece.
Keep in mind the pedestal needs to be anchored properly as well, this may entail wood blocking installed behind the wall for securing purposes.
Good Luck. e-plumber
