|In response to Re: Delta Shower/Tub Faucet Handle|
That is the only model I like to use and have them in my house and have not had that problem. The screw should not have anything to do with the adjusting of the water. It merely holds the handle on. The handles are keyed to their stems so that they will adjust even if the screw is missing.
: I have to believe that some of you have dealt with this same problem. I have a brand new Delta shower/tub faucet that has one large handle to adjust flow and a smaller knob to adjust temperature (similar to model 1738-CBLHP A74PB).
: The instructions say to tighten it just to the point where it doesn't wobble but allows the temperature control to turn. It also says the screw is self locking! But after a few days, we're back to wobbley handle and it just turns without adjusting anything. I tighten it down a little more, but it still happens.
: I'm extremely disappointed, since we went with the Delta to be assured of a little higher quality. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I'll attach a link to that faucet just in case anyone isn't familiar with it. Thanks!
