In response to Re: banging pipes
: We recently had a leaky faucet and toilet in the same bathroom. We shut off the main supply to the house (only way we could shut the water off completely) We lifted the toilet replaced the wax ring and fixed a coupler to the supply line. The faucet had a bad rubber washer which we replaced. Now when the faucet is used you hear a loud banging noise unless you turn up the hot water all the way. What is the problem?

: Thank you for any input,

Take the faucet apart again and check for a possible loose washer, bibb screw or another part that could be rattling around causing the banging sounds.
Good Luck. e-plumber
