First you would have to buy an LP thermostat because the pressure regulator has to be set higher than a natural gas one. Then since the burner outlet is a left hand thread, you would have to also find an LP burner tube and burner. You would also have to replace the pilot burner. By the time you purchased all those items, assuming you could find them, you will have spent the major portion of a new heater's price, and would not only still have an old heater, but possibly a dangerous one, if any of the connections were leaking.
: Does any know how to convert a natural gas hot water tank to a propane hot water tank. Does someone make a kit or provide instructions? Thanks.
