Ah, the wonderful world of pex and all the different fittings so no one infringes anyone's patents on fittings.
Wirsbo uses an expansion of the pex which uses the shrinkage back to normal tube diameter, to make the tight seal on the fitting. Vangaurd uses the imfamous crimp rings you discovered.
You can join the 2 by using a short piece of copper pipe with the proper fitting on each end of the pipe.
