: HAS BEEN CHECK AND IT'S ALL FINE.THE SMELL IS ALSO UNDER THE HOUSE AT THIS TIME AND VERY BAD. THE PLUMBER CHECKED UNDER THE HOUSE FOR LEAKS AND FOUND NONE.WE LIVE IN KIND OF A SLOPE,IN OTHER WORDS OUR LAND IS IN KIND OF A DOWN GRADE. WHO EVER PUT IN OUR SEPTIC TANK
: DIDN'T PUT TO FAR DOWN IN THE GROUND AND WE CAN'T EVER GET GRASS TO LIVE OVER TOP OF IT. COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP THE SMELL IS HORRIBLE.

If you suspect the foul odor is coming from within the house, hire plumber to troubleshoot. There are several tests that can be performed to attempt to locate a drainage or venting problem in the house.
If you think the odor if from the septic system, have the service company check it for malfunctioning.
