|In response to Re: L8148 g relay|
: I CAME ACROSS A HOT WATER SYSTEM WITH TWO HONEYWELL V8043E ZONE VALVES AND AN L8148 G RELAY....I HAD TO CHANGE A ZONE VALVE HEAD AND RAN INTO A BIND...THERE WAS NO SEPERATE TRANSFORMER ON THE JOB AND WITH THE LOW VOLTAGE TERMINALS T TV AN Z WERE THE ONLY ONES TO WIRE TO....AFTER I TOOK CARE OF THE YELLOW LEADS TO ONE END OF THE TSTATS AND THE OTHER TO ONE LEG OF THE TRANSFORMER IN THE RELAY, WHERE DO YOU PUT THE RED WIRES?
The two yellow leads go to the TV terminal and one side of the thermostat. The two red leads go to the T terminal and the TV terminal. The Z terminal is connected to the side of the thermostat that isn't connected to the zone valve.
The red leads are for the end switch that turns on the aquastat when the zone valve opens. The yellow leads are for the motor that runs the valve.
Hope this helps...
P.S. Writing is all caps is considered "shouting" online and is bad form, as well as being hard to read.
