|In response to Re: well supply line|
: Whats the best way to make the plastic line that comes in from the well workable. As you plumbers know its very hard and I need to remove a fitting and then replace it when Im done with the project.I have been told to heat it up with a torch but Im a little leary of this.I have seen a plumber do this and the pipe cracked..what other methods work to soften it or make it more pliable?
Applying just enough even all around heat (barely hot to the touch of a finger) from a torch to pull the fitting out or push it in is best... but a hair dryer or heat gun can work. You don't heat the fitting, only the area of the tubing that the fitting is inside of.
