: What would be involved to relocate a toilet to where a shower stall used to be? Would it require new drainage or could the shower drain be used or is it even possible? Thanks.
Few things are impossible...some things are just tougher than others.
A toilet takes a 3" drain and no p-trap. Your shower has a 2" drain and a p-trap. You cannot use the existing plumbing. If you are on slab, you would need to remove the concrete, run new drainage lines and possibly a new vent. If you have a crawl space or basement, it would be an easier job. It is, however, still a big job. You will probably need a plumber to look and what you have and advise from there.
