I have two bathrooms one on the main floor, and one directly above it on the second floor. Ever since we tapped into the city sewer a few months ago, when you flush the upstairs toilet-- the downstairs toilet bubbles (very large bubbles!), almost to the point of splashing out. Could this be fixed somehow with an air admittance valve? If so, how....if not, how?
Also, whenever the washing machine in the basement is draining into the laundry tub, the kitchen sink on the floor above it makes a gurgling sound from the trap. Could this be fixed with an air admittance valve?
Thanks for your help!!
