In response to Re: toilet bowl losing water
: We recently had an ice storm...freezing rain and snow for two days, coating everything with an inch of ice. After the first day, our toilet bowl started losing water. The tank is full. We noticed gurgling sounds from the toilet and heard it also from the kitchen drain and the water would drop in the toilet bowl to a very low level. It would also then rise a bit and drop again. When you then flush it, the water in the bowl would rise higher than normal, almost like it was plugged, but it is not plugged. It only happens sometimes, seemingly unrelated to any other water that is running in the house. Could it be possible that the stink pipe running to the roof is plugged with ice and causing this problem?
