Cut the cast iron pipe at both ends to be removed. You do not have to cut at a joint, actually better not to. Use a metal blade on a power saw. A circular saw works if you have enough room in the trench or a reciprocol saw. Purchase 2 repair couplers that are specific for cast iron 4 inch pipe to 4 inch pvc pipe. These can be purchased at plumbing supply house or local home improvement store. |
