:
: I am going to replace a cast iron section running from the kitchen to the main sewer beacuse the pipe is rusted out and leaks.

: The leakage has been pooling under the house and slowly settling into the dirt, but in the leak area, it is muddy and has been collecting sink and idshwasher runoff for at least a week or so.

: Once I repair the leak, what should I do to the soil to prevent mold and make it sanitary? I'm going to install a fan on the vent to dry it out.

If it has been settling into the soil it will probably continue to do so, depending on how much water is there, you may want to hire a water extraction company or if it soaks into the ground, you can pour bleach in the area to kill any possible bacteria formation.
Good Luck. e-plumber
