In response to Re: How do you trace the main sewer line in concrete?
Companies similiar to Roto-Rooter often will have the equipment to send a wire into the drain and then using a sensor, "kind of" like an industrial strength stud sensor can "trace" the route of the drain and they can use chalk to indicate the path.

It is not cheap, but it may not be expensive either, compared to making a major league mistake like hitting(missing) the drain in the wrong place.

: Hi, Getting ready to plan a renovation of a 'bathroom' in the basement. Right now it's just a toilet with three walls for privacy...
: I want to make it a real room and add a sink/shower to it. How can I figure out which way the drain lines run under the poured concrete floor? I want to dig in the right places and minimize the cuts needed to find a suitable tie in location for the new service drains.

: Thanks, Matt
