: Hi, Getting ready to plan a renovation of a 'bathroom' in the basement. Right now it's just a toilet with three walls for privacy...
: I want to make it a real room and add a sink/shower to it. How can I figure out which way the drain lines run under the poured concrete floor? I want to dig in the right places and minimize the cuts needed to find a suitable tie in location for the new service drains.

: Thanks, Matt

If you lift the toilet and look into the drain, the piping will most likely aim in the direction of the underground pipe run, towards the main drain.
An experienced plumber can look at it and advise you where to open the floor. Don't forget, this type of work needs to be filed and inspected.
