It depends on the age of your old valve. If it has a set screw on the lower back side it should replace, although there were two different "adapters" and if yours it the old higher one the new spout may not rest on the tile deck. Also, your faucet valves may be a smaller diameter than the new ones of the new ones are for a ceramic seal type valve. I have done the upgrade, but sometimes it requires some ingenuity to accomplish it.

: I want to replace the faucets in my bathroom, but there is no access panel for the Roman Tub. Can I replace the handles and faucet without access to the underside of the tub?
: The current hardware is Price Pfister, so are the ones I want to install - just a different finish
