|In response to Re: Compression fittings vs. sweating the joints|
: The compression joint, in most cases, is the least desirable joint regardless of the cost. The exception being the angle stop at the various fixtures. Sweating is the best way, since it is not affected by vibration or other movements.
: : Can anyone give me an honest comparison between sweating joints on copper pipes or using compression fittings? Do plumbers sweat the joints because that is the cheapest way or the best way?
