We are very unhappy with our Toto toilet. We have had repeated problems with the fill valve (among other things--like incomplete flushes). The first fill valve replacement was a Korky equivalent, which the plumber said would work, but was too high for the tank, plus water leaked into the bowl. Then we insisted that a new plumber install a Toto brand. The valve popped up in the middle of the night, displacing the tank top, and flooded the bathroom. Another plumber put in a Toto brand fill valve. It hisses. The plumber said, just jiggle it, it's probably just sediment (it isn't). Is this a known problem, or have we just had bad luck with a lemon or two?
We are ready to give up and install another toilet, perhaps an American Standard Champion.
