backed up bathroom sink

Terry: I saw yuor response regarding a sink and dishwasker dated 6/23/02. I have a problem. We have a doouble bowl sink. On the left side is a garbage disposal. If we turn on the disposal it backs up in the bathroom sink that has and adoining wall with the kitchen. Also, if we hold a large amount of water in the right bowl and pull the stopper water also come up in the bathroom sink. Any suggests for me.
